Introduction

This one day course offers effective and safe behaviour management training, for staff that may have to deal with potentially aggressive and violent individuals.

Objectives:

  • To discuss managing aggressive and violent behaviour relating to your job role
  • To look at how you recognise and manage potential / actual challenging behaviours
  • To discuss the importance of post incident debriefs
  • To practice breakaway techniques to release yourself from a grab

For those working in residential / nursing homes or children's homes or resource centres then the two-day managing aggressive and violent behaviour - breakaway and safe holding course is the correct course.
